Travelodge will get a makover as Citilodge Ltd takes over Wakefield hotel

Hide AdTravelodge announced last year that Wakefield was one of 49 hotels it was trying to shift as part of cost-cutting drive.
Citispace Group director Robert Kidd said he hoped the firm could boost the hotel’s star rating from two to three.
He said: “We’re at an advanced stage of converting the ground floor into a bar and restaurant and creating a new reception area on the first floor.
“We’ll be making some immediate upgrades to the rooms in terms of bed linens and things like that.
