Police guarding Wakefield property after reports of a serious assault

Officers have been outside the property on Blakey Road since the early hours of this morning, and the driveway is taped off.

Police have confirmed that a serious assault is thought to have taken place at the property on Sunday evening.

Two men aged 18 and 40 have been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in police custody at this time.

The victim is being treated in hospital for his injuries.
