Police turn out in force for Wakefield birthday boy
Finley Hubbert was left lost for words when a police car, bike, and van turned up to his Watson Crescent home on Wakefield's Eastmoor estate.
But rather than haul him in for questioning, it was specially arranged as a treat to mark the Greenhill Primary School pupil's sixth birthday.

"He (Finley) is not normally shy but he was really taken aback by it.
"He loved it and it was really, really good of the police to do it.
"They had the lights and the sirens on - we had to tell the neighbours before they arrived not to panic and they all came out and took photos.

"It was real treat, especially with him not being able to see his friends."
A police spokesman said: "Officers jumped at the chance to spare 10 minutes out of their busy shift to pop around and surprise Finley, who was playing in the front garden at the time.
"Even though his friends couldn’t be there, I’m sure it’s a birthday he’ll never forget!"
