Wakefield Trinity hoping to sign new half-back
Now that Tanginoa is staying at Belle Vue, the focus will switch to recruiting another half-back.
Trinity will be light in the position next season, with Danny Brough set to join Bradford Bulls ahead of the 2021 campaign.

Hide AdInjury problems throughout 2020 saw Wakefield try a number of half-back combinations and Chester is keen to bolster his options in that area.
Chester revealed last month that he had spoken to Canberra Raiders’ Sam Williams. The 29-year-old Australian is no stranger to Super League or Wakefield, having spent the 2017 season at Trinity, where he played 24 games and scored six tries.
Chester felt a lack of consistency in the half-back positions contributed to Wakefield’s poor run of form following the resumption of the top-flight campaign in August.
Captain Jacob Miller missed approximately a third of Trinity’s league games last season and Chester hopes more options at half-back will ease the burden on Miller’s shoulders.

“This year we have had to chop and change. We have had some different combinations in there.
“We have not had any consistency, it makes life very, very difficult.
“Jacob Miller and those kinds of guys are my best players and it is important we manage them right.
“If that means missing sessions during pre-season or during the week, then so be it.”
