Legendary Wakefield nightclub Havana set to reopen its doors with Big Narstie kicking off the launch party

The Wakefield hotspot of the early 2000s is returning this weekend to bring the old and the new together to form an unforgettable nightlife experience in the heart of Wakefield city centre.

Situated in its former location on Albion Court, the fully refurbished and expanded nightclub and bar will have four areas for partygoers to enjoy.

The club has undergone a significant investment to bring a new, vibrant nightlife experience to Wakefield.

Some iconic features of the former Havana have been kept and refreshed to bring a sense of nostalgia to the legendary club.

Havana Club will have four separate zones, each with its own DJ and bar:

*Room 1: Big anthems, chart, D&B and retro

*Room 2: Party, pop, retro pop classics from yesteryear

*Havana Bar (formerly Kindred Spirit) will be host to the smoothest classic and old school R&B from 90s/00s right up until now.

*Havana Terrace will be an outdoor chill out zone for summer beats and Ibiza anthems.

Havana is set to reopen under new management this weekend with Big Narstie kicking off the launch party this Friday, June 7.

There will be 30 plus jobs created for Wakefield’s nightlife industry with the opening of Havana Club.

Kev Spencer, one of the company directors of Havana Club Ltd, said: “We wanted to bring back the nostalgic spirit and feel of Foundation and Havana to Wakefield, but with a modern design.

“Our four separate areas of the club will bring 30+ jobs to the nightlife industry in Wakefield.

“Wakefield has always been a popular and well-known nightlife destination in Yorkshire and beyond.

"We’re excited to bring back some nostalgia to the town as well as providing a modern venue fit for the future.”
